Black History is celebrated for the dignity and time of leaders that fought for freedom to be treated equal. There were many black historians who wanted a change in the US to be established without seperation or anything that would hinder the lives of wanting to be free. We celebrate this month of Black History to show honor and respect to the leaders of time for their hard work that they have paid a price to make happen.
There were people like:
Martin Luther King Jr.
Macolm X
Harriet Tubman
Jackie Robinson
W.E.B DuBois
These are some of the ones who stood up for what they beleived in.
